In addition, C/EBPα is a powerful inhibitor of proliferation in all cell types reported to date, including virally transformed or tumorigenic cell lines that lack various tumor suppressor proteins . Loss of C/EBPα functions have been linked to leukemogenesis, suggesting an important role for C/EBPα as a tumor suppressor |
